Where you should go shopping for All designer shoes
Allston Beat Outlet Store Boston
72 Brighton Ave. Allston; (617) 254-4420 If you’re into funky clothes but balk at trendy high prices, this outlet near B.U. is for you. The loud music and factory-like atmosphere make a fitting backdrop for such clothes. Most of the stock here is new, although Mr. C did see a vintage wool overcoat for just $20, and tweed blazers for $10. On the same visit, all new leather jackets were on sale for 20% off, and a Knucklehead brown jacket, usually $139, was $69 before the reduction (end result: $56.20). The most outlandish stuff is also the most pricey: A long silver lame dress was $79, and a jungle print fake fur bra went for $35. But where else can you get these beauties?
Hip brand names abound: A Stussy sweatshirt was $32 (down from $45) and Dr. Marten jean shorts, usually $75, were reduced to just $19 here. Speaking of the Doc, you can also get his shoes and boots here: Mr. C saw €œAir Waiv model leather lace-ups for $49, instead of the normal $95. The outlet store is open Mondays through Fridays from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M.; Saturdays until 7 P.M.
