ALLODERM AND DERMATOLOGEN

ALLODERM AND DERMOLOGEN

Processed from the skin of human corpses, Alloderm and Dermologen are used to create lips of which Hannibal Lector would be proud. Alloderm is introduced as an implant that is threaded through the lips under local anaesthetic; Dermologen is injected rather like collagen.

The upside of choosing these unsavoury-sounding treatments is that allergic reactions are rare. Alloderm is a permanent treatment, but Dermologen has to be repeated after about six months, and can be painful.

ISOLOGEN AND AUTOLOGEN

Forthose who do not have a taste for human cadavers, these two products provide a more palatable alternative. Autologen and Isologen are forms of collagen removed from your own skin, which eliminates the chance of rejection or allergic reaction.
