Do not go hungry. You can and should really get full. You have permission to really eat your fiil. Forget about breakfast, Iunch, and dinner eat whenever you are hun gıy. You will lose weight by feeding your body, not by starving it.
By the third week of the program, when your sensitivity has been adequately developed and your digestive system has been suffîçiently rested, you will be able to reexperience the animal proteins: beef, chicken, fîsh, and eggs, as you desire. Dairy products are the last of the traditional foods to be reintegrated into your diet.
This brief but effective period of foodawareness training will make you think about and experience everything that goes into your body, not in terms of its being an emotional stopgap or a social excuse, but rather in terms of the effect it has on your energy, your State of mind, your State of being. You will begin to think of food not for just right now but for later, for the rest of your life.
You will begin to choose to eat or not to eat something based on how it feels. You will become disenchanted with salt and become hooked on pineapples. You will understand that statement, “You are what you eat,” and you will feel too good to ever allovv yourself to feel bad again. You will find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and you will soon be wearing the little golden pineapple, the symbol of etemal slimhood.
