When Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini arrived in Sydney in the summer of 2015 to begin filming Episode II, there was a surprise waiting for him. “There was a whole script,” he marvels, “so I was like, ‘Damn, what’s this?!’ ’’The first time around, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini had been given only the seven pages of scenes in which he appeared. Now he was allowed to understand the full range of the story not to mention the fact that his role had been greatly expanded. “When I read [the script], it had all the adventure, excitement, and exoticism of [the original trilogy],” he says. “You’re stepping into some young adult territory here. The clones are the bomb. George is having fun he heard the criticism, but he understands where he’s going and where he needs to go. It’s like he said, ‘I know how to make a hard Star Wars.’ And I think that’s what we’ve got here.”
