Remember, we are talking about a lifetime change in your eating habits. If you restrict yourself from the foods you enjoy, you will not want to cut back on your eating after a holiday for example. Just be faithful with the fasting you offer to God. It’s fine to start small, just be sure you start faithful. “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much” (Luke 16:10). Be faithful in your daily fasting, and you will be faithful also in the larger things (weight loss).
Adoptable Plan For Business
My husband, Don, has recently lost over 45 pounds eating this way. So, I asked him to give a testimony to our class. Don was not a compulsive eater, he was one of those people who was overweight and said, “It doesn’t really matter.”
He shared with us,that although he had seen the victory in my life for the last ten years and knew what a wonderful change it made, he hadn’t tried eating only two meals a day. As he reviewed the class materials with me, especially proofreading this book, he said he found that it did matter! He had a real desire to lose his extra weight by sowing to the Spirit rather than to the flesh.
However, he found that skipping lunch didn’t work with his lifestyle. He owns a consulting engineering firm, and sometimes he must take clients out to lunch. Other times he simply needs a break from his concentration and really looks forward to lunch. As a result, he used the same principles but skipped dinner instead. He found it was not difficult for him to skip dinner several nights as seed to the Spirit.
He lost seventeen pounds the first five weeks. The best part is that he is keeping the weight off, and his body is beginning to respond to his God given hungry and full responses. We recently had a weekend with quite a bit of entertaining. By Sunday we were both saying how we couldn’t wait to get back to two meals!
